Feast of the Hunters Moon! This reenactment of life in the 1700s has grown larger year after year. The food is great! The Scottish Bridie meat pies and so much more are crowd favorites, but they do sell out so just wait in the line instead of waiting until the line goes down. Tips- park at the Purdue football stadium and take the bus that drops you off at the entrance $4 pp). By far the easiest. No internet! Be prepared. Buy tickets ahead of time so you don’t have to wait in line, and you get a discount.
This was our first time at feast of the hunters moon. We were so impressed. We used to visit the Thea Tiki on the Kankakee river in Illinois that stopped several years ago and have not found anything comparable since. We thought we would come and see, and it’s stacked up while beyond our imagination. We loved everything and are excited to come back again. All of the shows were great and the food and the atmosphere. They also had a shuttle that took us from the football stadium to the event, which made it much more relaxing to not have to be in traffic.
One of my favorite festivals is the Feast! Something we look forward to every year.

Went here for Feast of the Hunter's Moon. A great time! Very educational and family friendly. Reasonably priced and beautiful.
The historical events they put on throughout the year are fabulous. There's also tons of open space for kids to run around in. Great for kite flying if there's wind. You can walk down by the river on the boat ramp, and skip stones if the river is low enough.
I visit the Fort quite frequently throughout most of the year. But the best time is during the Feast of the Hunter's Moon. It was a great year! Weather was a tad but warm but very little rain was a blessing. The people that come out and volunteer year after year make this a memorable event!
If you like history, food or shopping this is an event to check out!
The Feast of the Hunters Moon is always a 5 star experience! We try to make it every year. The food and wares are worth the trip every time!
We love going to the Feast of the Hunters Moon. We have a blast. We've been going for 15 years
